Christians please answer this....?

Why is it SOME Christians claim that the the bible contains no violent verses. They are probably taken out of context (like the verses below), but I as a Muslim is always getting bashed on by Christians saying that the Quran is full of hate and should be taken literally. Most verses they try to pin me with is always killing, but they do not realize the conditions only apply in times of war.

I am well rounded when it comes to religion and I have studied all the Abrahamic religions and their books, and I am positive the bible contains some violent verses. But unlike other people, I know that people take the verses out of context.

So why is there a double standard when it comes to Islam?
The bible contains as much violence as the Quran so why are Muslims made to look like the bad guys?

I understand there are terrorist out there, but they are wrong and I dont condone their actions. Christianity has a history of violence also, and im positive no one calls ALL Christians terrorist because of the crusades, abortion clinic bombings, westborough church and others.

So why the double standards.


Here are the verses I was refering to:
For example, the Bible says "Now therefore, kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known man by lying with him. But all the young girls who have not known man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves all the Virgins." (Numbers 31:17-18)

Another verse in the New Testament says, "Think not that I come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace but a sword ." (Matthew 10:34)

The word sword is never mentioned in the Quran.


So why the double standard?
